Sayler gets in 8 minutes into the game

I expected Appel, Easley and Kyle to look good, and they did. By the high standard he has set, Mayo had an off night. The most pleasant surprises of the game, to me, were Garry and Alvarez. They looked very good. Barnhart looked good, too, and Mors is solid. It's too bad that Mims will be out for an extended time. Still, this is a deep team.

Garry reminds me of Easley.

I think Easley is a better true defender but both serve as solid combo guards that can shoot and make hustle plays consistently.

Having Mims out does suck but it will provide Garry and Sayler with more minutes which will pay off. Mimsy has played enough ball to know what it takes.

This is a deep bench. The freshmen will be contributing. Garry as a starter with Bubz/Sayler coming off the bench is appearing to be a block of helpers. Mors and Barnhart are looking to be great off the bench as well and they are both sophomores. Zeke may not have burned the nets, but he was definitely running the show. He had an unbelievable pass to Easley for a layup. He also dropped some shots in the 2nd half that were not there in the first half. I expect the Jackrabbits to play fast which is where Zeke(and others) paced the team.
