  • GDT: SDSU vs ORU 7pm Mabee Center ORUAthletics.com

The Golden Eagles return most of last year's team and they have added 2 transfers. 7'5" Vanover and 6'7" Mwamba are the new faces. They have a 9-3 OOC record. Four of those wins are against lower division foes, but they have also scheduled a number of more difficult opponents. The loss to then #1 Houston was the worse loss. Max Abmas is the motor of the team and he is already averaging over 34 minutes with several complete games. He is scoring 20 points/game, 3+ assists, 5.7 boards, & 2 turnovers. Vanover is averaging 3 blocks to go with his 12.6 points, and 6.9 boards. This will be the 4th home game in a row at Mabee for ORU. ORU is the preseason choice to win The Summit. This is a game where the win will be a catalyst for Jackrabbits entering league play. Hopefully there is a fully healthy team for the Jackrabbits as they start the conference portion of the season. Go Jacks!!

It sounded like Arians injury was short term, so he should be back. Hopefully Charlie is healthy, because he likely draws the defensive assignment on Abmas. Being short-handed on guards vs ORU wouldn't be a good thing.

Very well said. Rabbits are a 9 1/2 point dog tonight. I’m very interested to see how they come out tonight.

      Go Rabbits!

Could be a long night for the Jacks. Arians back. Appel and Easley out. Sounds like the flu bug is also going through the team.

Ugly is an understatement for this one. Getting beat in every aspect.

Another embarrassing night on the road. Right now the team is a .500 team at best.

Not watching this game very close with most of my attention on the women's game, but it looked like the Jacks were getting nothing inside.

Lots of ugly passes and turnovers down low. In addition, just throwing up 3’s from the outside that are not even great looks. Hence the 30 pt deficit.

17 turnovers and 16 FGs. This isn’t Jackrabbit basketball.

Absmas has 8 points……and we lose by 39? We’ve got lot of work to do, but we’ve done it before.

SDSU just isn’t very good right now. Lots of work to do and that includes from the coaching staff. There’s nothing to be confident about. Lots of turnovers, terrible offense and defense.

This is the year we see what type of development Coach Hendo can do with this squad.

We have been very spoiled lately, let's enjoy the ride and hope this team peaks in March.
