  • GDT: SDSU vs Valpo - Hostilo Hoops Community Classic

Hopefully a game with plenty of bench minutes. Valpo is 2-3 with wins against Western Michigan (329 net rating last year), Incarnate Word (350), and losses to Toledo (86), Samford (176), and Chicago State (340).

If you're considering purchasing the tournament pass, here are some things to take a look at ahead of time: JMU highlight including game feed, jackrabbit fan's initial impression, JMU fan impression from their message board.

    Go Jacks!

We may be lucky to reach 20 pts by halftime. More turnovers than field goals.

Looks like the game is being streamed with a GoPro V1 camera. Al's spot on with his calls!

Valpo is not a great team. They are 9th place choice for the MVC. They were defeated by Chicago State who was thrashed by the Tommies by 20+. Valpo tried to run the shot clock down on most possessions while only snagging 8 offensive boards while shooting 37%. They had 9 more shots than the Jacks who had great success at the free throw line. They did read the book on SDSU and double teamed the post as much as they could. Luke will get better looks when he recognizes the double coming and makes the quick pass out which could be returned for the one on one defense on him. AA had 10 first half points to keep the game even. Turnovers are slowly improving and Zeke's double double(and 4 assists) is a great balance for the team when WK3 has a solid day as a freshman. Mors is another freshman who shows what he is capable to do. Te Slaa is playing serviceable defense as well. Tomorrow will be a good test of the Jackrabbit defense which looked great in the game.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

A win is a win, and any D-1 win on the road is a good win. Congrats to William Kyle III, who scored 17 and was named the Jackrabbit player of the game by radio announcer Al Bahe.
