i feel more than sure that i will ALWAYS call it Frost

but i guess maybe as the younger generations come along there could be a mixture of the old and new name and maybe one day they will quit calling it frost

Hey now; let's not get all "Wilford Brimley" on the proposed menu options. Can we at least agree that the thread drift is sometimes "high fiber" & heart-healthy?

A commitment of this magnitude calls for a Nick's-Dairy Bar "nuclear option" Challenge -- two bags of Cheddar-filled & topped sliders with spicy mayo (apple butter optional) with a 1/2 gallon of either of the aforementioned Mors-inspired ice cream flavors. Those finishing the full meal will receive a T-shirt and 10% off subsequent EKG and arterial blockage assessment at Brookings Health

As we are happy to see the arrival of Matthew Mors, we should give a pat on the back to the coaching staff as they continue to keep a strong team on the court for the fans.

This times a thousand. The coaching staff has done a tremendous job in building the core team and adding pieces that just make it stronger. The staff put together arguably the best season in Jacks MBB history and balanced it all very well while not allowing any distractions to derail the success.

I’ll also add to that both Justin Sell, the dept of athletics and President Dunn. We are incredibly fortunate to have them all.

It will be interesting to see how much Hendo has Luke and Mors on the floor together. From the Mors' AAU highlights I saw, it appeared he liked to face the basket and work from the perimeter, so it would match up well with Luke working in the low post. Of course, then you would have to take one of the guards off the floor if Baylor returns as expected.

Have not heard much about Broden Lien and how he looked in practice. He could also be a factor.

Interesting that you pose this. I was going to start a thread earlier today asking about next year and what everyones predictions were on the starting lineup

i guess maybe it will be a little different to begin the year but my guess is it ends up

                          Baylor
                          Zeke
                          Alex
                          Mors

and then depending on how much offense is needed, and i guess looking at those 4 hopefully NOT MUCH, they will start Dent or Appel

since i think the other 4 can carry the offense, i am guessing Dent starts because he is so much better defender and passer than Luke. i think his ability and willingness to pass are underrated. and i think with the space the defense would give him because of the other 4 guys on the floor, he could have plenty of big games in the paint

that way Luke continues to provide a BIG spark off the bench. hopefully Lien is able and ready to contribute. i will be surprised if at least one of TeSlaa, Garry, or Kyle does not make a significant contribution next year. obviously Charley is going to provide lots of energy and a great spark coming off the bench and mims will continue to be steady

I think maybe more than your question about Mors and one of the other bigs together, is how capable will Mors be to defend on the perimeter? could they ever go quite big and play Dent and Luke together like they did last year and go with Mors at the 3???

if they could defend with that lineup, they would still be undersized at the 5 against most BIG schools, but that group would be 6'9, 6'8, 6'7, 6'7 and either whatever guard you choose. alex 6'4, zeke 6'3, or charley 6'2

my understanding is that Te Slaa can definitely play the point or ANY perimeter spot. if he is ready i think he is listed 6'5. the rabbits could put a really big team on the floor

As much as Hendo seems to value pace and ball movement, I don't see him playing two bigs and Mors together. I still think that he will continue to run the four guards quite a bit, especially against smaller teams. Not having seen Mors play much, would he be able to defend bigger post players and play with his back to the basket on offense ?

Mors will be able to defend the Summit bigs, the question being, will he need to…I could see Charley relegated to 6th man and Luke starting, he came on strong in the end. I’ve heard that Lien is essentially unmovable down low and had a good RS season. Quite possible Hendo could utilize a 9-10 man rotation.

                              Baylor
                              Zeke
                              Arians
                              Mors
                              Appel

                              Charlie
                              Dent
                              Mims
                              Lien

This and any chance of true freshman playing could factor in as well.
