UMKC is led by likely 1st Team All Conference player Evan Gilyard. The 5’10” SR PG averages 17ppg and is a transfer from New Mexico St.

Josiah Allick JR 6’8 C (was out most of the season but averaging 18 ppg his last 3 games.


Billy Donlon is in his 3rd year coaching at UMKC. He use to coach at Wright St before being replaced by Scott Nagy. Donlon should be 2nd in line for votes as SL coach of the year behind Henderson.

UMKC plays hard-nosed pressure defense. They lead the league in Turnover% and Steal%. Most of this is due to their guard play from Gilyard and Nesbitt.

If Allick had been playing all year KC would be coming in to tonight with the 2 seed locked up and probably 21+ wins. They’re not the team we saw the first time around. These guys are a threat both tonight and in Sioux Falls.

Two very different defenses. Hell, USD already has 70 points against ORU tonight with 11:00 to go! KC is so handsy on D, and they're doing a great job making making life difficult for our posts. The Jacks are going to have to slug this one out - or get Allick and Lamar a 4th foul early.
