GDT: Jackrabbits vs Bears 6pm JQH Arena ESPN+

The match up in Springfield is a great game to end the OOC. Mo State(6-4) is preseason #4 in the MVC, Mosley and Prim are the leading scorers who have been selected preseason first team in the MVC. 4 seniors and 4 juniors provide the base of this team. 1 senior starter has been missing the past 5 games and a sophomore has now become a starter. There is 1 freshman who gets double digit minutes as well. They do have a 7' senior who logs 5 minutes/game. The most recent meeting versus the Bears was 4 years ago at the Pentagon resulting in a win for the Bears. The Bears defeated Oral Roberts Saturday 69-60. The Bears average 78/game shooting 47% & 37% 3pt, They also average 13.3 assists. The Jackrabbits had a solid road game against Washington State which brings some optimism for the Springfield game. Go Jacks!!

I’m really struggling to feel optimistic about this one. Hope I’m pleasantly surprised. I think we are probably the better team neutral floor but this feels like a tough one at the end of a long road trip coming off a big win.

I’m ready for conference play.

Will be challenging for sure. Like you said, end of a long roadtrip, and a very good mid major test. Given they beat ORU last week it will be a good barometer to see how we compare. I would imagine they will try to run us off the 3 point line so hopefully Wilson, Appel, and Dentlinger can win the one on one matchups in the post. I'm a bit more cautiously optimistic than you. I'm hopeful Doug gets going early which leads to Scheierman and Friedel getting loose from the outside as the game goes on. I'll predict the Jacks win by double digits to give us some good momentum heading into conference play next week.
