And based on last season's records, all three should be winnable games for the Jacks. Washington was terrible, and both George Mason and Nevada had average seasons.

Max Abmas, ORU is returning to school. Good for ORU, good for the conference and bad for SDSU. Likely preseason POY. Also gives ORU a leg up in the conference.

Let them have the target on their back going into the season. Obanor is a big loss for them. We have everyone back, plus hopefully add Noah back into the mix.

is Obanor definitely gone. entering the portal does NOT mean that you cannot stay at the same school. ala Umude a couple years ago. i would NOT be even slightly surprised that Abmas return leads to Obanor return. at the same time he has maybe had some offers he will find hard to refuse since entering the portal??

Either way, with or without Obanor, the jacks will be absolutely undoubtedly FINE!! especially if we can actually keep the whole team healthy and intact for the first time in at least 4 years. it would really be nice to go into the SLT relatively healthy at the key spots on the roster

I’m glad Abmas is returning. The conference needs a lot more of that.

Sure, it makes them harder to beat, but a little luck and some hot (or cold) shooting has as much to do with deciding which team wins in Sioux Falls as anything - at least on the men’s side.

ORU had the perfect storm in Sioux Falls, with everyone in the starting line-up getting hot, plus one or two off the bench. Even so, they needed a buzzer beater to beat the Jacks in the semi's, and had to hold on after having a huge lead against the Bison. Things will be fine.

They also beat NDSU in the final seconds at the SL tourney. And if I remember correctly, NDSU got mugged on their final possession.
