You guys are right. Thanks for showing me the errors of my ways. This is really about the kids having fun and getting a participation ribbon after the Summit Tournament is over.

Too many shots that were great looks but didn't fall in. Hendo is a great guy and a great coach. I'm behind him 100%.
I could not agree more. This thread is negative and not helpful. I really think this lay-off period really affected the team. Not being at the game, you would think that USD did some defensive planning on Friedel. Obviously when he misses three points shot like he did, something was planned an it worked to their credit. Maybe tonight it will be better.

I'm not calling for Hendo 's head, but he and the Team struggle in Big games. He hasn't had a ton of them, he also hasn't done anything with his opportunities to this point. That is bad at the Mid Major level in a one bid league.

If he wins by 20 tonight I will be happy, but it won't change my opinion that they weren't ready to play last night (or in last year's Summit Tournament, or etc, etc, etc) and he didn't adjust during last night's game. They looked terrible all night. I believe that is on the Coaching Staff and I'll bet Hendo would agree.

He has nothing but head room. I hope he figures it out and becomes a great Coach in big games. He is not right now and your post help make my point.
You really think he just sat their on the sideline and was happy with all the terrible 3 pt shots Noah took last night. You think he didn’t tell them to run something during timeouts. I watch a lot of UNC games and Roy Williams doesn’t ever call timeouts even when the other team is on a big run so he has them at the end of games. He waits for the media timeout cause he trusts his guys to correct it. He’s a hall of fame coach with multiple championships. Is he doing it wrong?

Of course he is going to agree with you because he is the coach and he isn’t going to throw 20 year olds under the bus and say they are the reason they lost the game. But that doesn’t mean he is happy with the way they played.

Last night looked like a team that has only played 5 games in 2 months and after the rough start they all got frustrated and started pressing and rushing shots and taking bad shots and could just never get out of the hole. That doesn’t mean he do can’t win big games. How many “big”games do you think he has coached in his 1 and a half year head coaching career?

There is not enough data on Hendo to claim he cannot win the big games. However the frustration is noted

I would hope what's frowned upon on this board is personal attacks at players and baseless criticism you've levied here. Takes a real brave guy to anonymously bash Hendo on here the way you have.
So you are ok with last night's performance? Care to defend the other dismal performances?

They don't have to win every game but they can't sleep walk the big games. If they do it is fair to criticize. It is either the players or the coaches. I'm asserting the coaches don't have the players ready to go for big games. I hope Hendo proves me wrong. I love the Rabbits!

Once, ok. Twice is a trend, three times is a pattern. It is not ok to lose to USD at home with the talent that we have, especially THE WAY they lost.

The way they lost all the games I referred.

    Player's parent? Coach's spouse??

Show me a loser who is ok with losing and I will show you a loser. You seem to be ok with losing.

Hey Jr., with 64 posts, I've played on Championship Teams and been watching Jackrabbit Hoops since before you were born - I suspect. I also put my $$$ were my mouth is and contribute to the school and athletic program. You don't know me so let's not get personal.

That is not what this board is about. You may not know that your attack is frowned upon because you are so new.

You are right. That makes it better.

So Hendon was an assistant that lost to a pathetic Western Team and a Head Coach that lost to an equally pathetic Ft. Wayne team. Thanks for helping me make my point.

Well, I see some similar trends. Not long ago Richman was the heel on bisonville with a long thread of a diminishing program. The bison won the SLT soon after. Earlier this season as the yotes came out winless in 5 games which is being followed by a long string of victories. Lee went from cleaning out his desk to 9-0 in conference. Somehow the most recent Summit COY may find the groove with some almost normal season game schedule and redeem his sorry team and the leadership of that bunch. On a more positive note, Baylor had 16 boards and 15 points and 4 assists.

I was not at the game, but by the tone of thread we did not win. Better luck tomorrow night.
