It is unfortunate that Krueger was not able to find more playing time. He must be very disappointed with his inability to log more minutes and he has certainly been patient with a redshirt year involved too. 7th man in a 6 man rotation can take the wind out the sails. He would be the 6th Otz player in 3 years which is likely average.

I am in the group that thinks the players got tired at the end of the season. Maybe it's just a learning experience.
The things I find interesting is that they played several players at both Iowa State and Washington when he was on their staffs.
2012 Iowa State team had players average 31, 24, 25, 28, 31, 32, 12, 12 and 12 minute/game.
2014 Washington teamed players average 37, 34, 25, 26, 32, 24, 17, 15 and 11 minutes/game. One guy played 19 games and another player played 21 games but the rest of the players listed played at least 26 of the 31 games the team played that year.
I could understand it he wanted to redshirt 4 of 5 players last year to not burn a year but this season that burned a season anyway. Whey not rest the starters some and give the bench some experience if there are good players on the bench?
The minutes don't come out exactly since some payers didn't play every game so the other players played more minutes in those games.
Since he has already used his redshirt year, going the JuCo route lets him play right away and not sit another season, and still have two seasons of eligibility remaining at a four year program.
