SDSU, USD in preseason top 10

BASKETBALL: South Dakota State is ranked fifth and South Dakota eighth in Street & Smith's NCAA Division II men's basketball Top 10 preseason rankings. The publication also tabbed USD senior Tommie King as a first-team preseason All-American, while SDSU's Matt Jones was named to the second team and USD junior Josh Mueller received honorable mention

Very Nice. Look to see us at the top before long. I was hoping Derrick Shantz would be on a pre-season all america team. Matt Jones should have a very good year.

I don't think the mens or womens team are getting the pre-season respect they deserve for the kind of returning teams they have. I guess we will have to show what we are made of on the court. First mens game two weeks from tonight in Orlando!

I dont think we'll be that low in the rankings for long. Both mens and womens teams are loaded and anything less than a national championship this year will be a dissapointment for me. (I realize thats pretty high expectations, but look at both M&W rosters!)
Anyone going down for the Disney Classic ??
