Nobles, Parks lost to the Sioux with knee troubles

The UND men's basketball team, which appeared to have righted itself after losing three of its first four games, has taken a major blow.
The Sioux (4-3), winners of three straight games, have lost two of their top three scorers to knee injuries.
Leading scorer Keith Parks, who averages 16.1 points a game, may be through for the season after injuring a knee in Saturday's victory over Concordia-St. Paul.
Caro Nobles, third on the team in scoring with a 12.8 average, has missed the last two games with a knee injury.
UND coach Rich Glas said Monday that Parks apparently tore both the MCL and ACL ligaments in his knee. "He's probably through for the year," Glas said. "It doesn't look good."
Glas said that Nobles will have additional tests on his knee today. "We'll know more about him then, but he won't be playing any time soon," Glas said.
There's little time for the Sioux to make adjustments. They play three games this week, at Northern (S.D.) State on Wednesday and home games with Bemidji State and Minnesota-Duluth on Friday and Saturday.
"We've got to fight through this," Glas said.
Both Parks and Nobles are junior transfers who were looked at as being team leaders.
The Sioux have three others players averaging in double figures in Mike Johnson (13), Todd Rypkema (11.5) and Evan Lindahl (10.7), but the injuries to Parks and Nobles take away two of UND's best players.
