It's fairly simple today. Howell and Daum will do their thing but it won't be enough unless the outside shooters can make USD pay for how they will undoubtedly clog up the paint. There will be open shots to be had - make the most of them and get a big road win. Shoot 25% from outside and most of us fans will be changing the channel with 5:00 to go in the game.

Yeah, someone other than Mike Daum has to be willing to take 21-foot shots and occasionally make them. The Jacks have the toughness to frustrate the coyote offense and quiet what will be the biggest USD crowd of the year. But the Jacks have to be able to score.

Need Orris to have a good game offensively. When he has found ways to create it has lead to open shots for others. Howell needs to be aggressive but under control. Daum will be Daum. Bring defensive intensity and let's see what happens.

Would definitely be a big win.

Good news: Telly and Orris are playing well early on. And the Jacks are only down 2 at the under 12 timeout. Daum hasn't scored.

Bad news: Jacks having a heck of a time guarding the perimeter.

20-18 Yotes at the under 12 media timeout. USD shooting really hot right now. On defense they are instantly doubling Daum and it's creating a lot of looks and driving lanes. Role players are playing well enough on O, but need to ratchet up the D.

THAT'S the kind of outside shooting that can make the Jacks dangerous. Nice to see a little of it in Vermillion for once.

Only 3 Daum points, yet a nice lead. I'll definitely take it.
