The streak lives on. The perfectionists may complain about this or that but that was an entertaining game to watch. Daum and Stark put on one hell of a show. Amazing talents. It's hard to believe Daum is only a sophomore after a game like that. Crazy.

A win's a win. Hopefully there are some more Daums in the pipeline (not likely)...anyway this looks like a team in transition, but a .500 team is better than what we had a decade ago.

The Jackrabbits tried a variation of the zone during the first couple of possessions of the 2nd half. It was a 1-2-2 or 3-2. It resulted in quick baskets for the Racers. That variation did not surface again. Orris played solid for the team after a turnover on inbounds pass when he first touched the ball. The Racers tossed up 70 shots and grabbed 14 offensive boards. Jackrabbits started getting more aggressive pulling down defensive boards late in game. Jackrabbits have done a great job getting to the line and making the shots there. Racers did a good job of getting back into the game every time it appeared the Jackrabbits could pull away. 1-3-1 is horrible to watch, but they won another home game. It would be great to get a win at Drake. As a by the way, Hess had his best defensive game and rebounding game that I recall.

But we're not winning by 20....

A month ago I honestly worried that we might not qualify for the Summit tourney. Now we have won four out of five (D1) and the one loss was to UNI on their home court. Perfect? Certainly not but it could be a lot worse. We are not going to win the regular season title but it is looking like we could indeed be a very dangerous team by March.

If anyone has not heard and they were intending to watch the women's game tomorrow, the Bowling Green game has been cancelled due to travel problems for the visiting team.
