Sure. That's why I only quoted "little direct connection" and not the full quote of "little to no direct connection." I agree there's a connection. But if your intent was to discuss the early signing period (recruits, signees, etc.), I'd assume that the 3 straight pages of how the newspaper writer isn't doing his job in a satisfactory fashion could've been moved to one of the 2-3 threads already out there discussing how the newspaper beat writer isn't doing his job in a satisfactory fashion.
Or not. I guess I don't fully understand which topics are allowed and not allowed in each thread yet. I'll get there someday though. We'll get through it together, guys...have no fear.
Onto the actual thread topic--any surprise commitments/signings springing up that a more fervent and dedicated beat reporter would've caught and identified before this early signing period started?
