  • Exhibition GDT: Dakota Wesleyan

DWU comes into the game with a 2-1 record. They were picked 4th in the GPAC preseason poll after finishing national runner-up in the NAIA tournament. The Tigers are currently ranked 24th in the NAIA. Last year the Jacks won 79-72. Lets hope for a wider margin this time around.

Since I've been critical of Jackrabbit Extra (on numerous occasions) I'll pass on this e-mail I got (yesterday) regarding Extra and exhibition BB games:

Jacks Fans and Jackrabbit Extra Subscribers,

Thank you for your continued support of the Jacks by purchasing a Jackrabbit Extra Subscription. With the start of the basketball season upon us, we wanted let you know that the exhibition basketball games will not be available at the request of the head coaches. This is the same procedure we have followed in recent years.

    Thank you for your understanding!

Live games through Jackrabbit Extra will start with the regular season, opening doubleheader on Nov. 13, when the women face Marist at 6 p.m. and the men take on Chadron State immediately following.

As many of you know, we did have some equipment issues during the football season. Those issues are being remedied as we speak and we will be ready for the start of the basketball season. A big thank you to Midco Sports Net for providing the feed for our home football games during this time.

Thank you again for your support of the Jacks!
    Just FYI for all.

What a night for Jade and Macy's parents. Watch Macy in Jacks clothing and then switch over and watch Jade in DWU clothing. Pretty cool night for the Miller's.

        Thanks,

Wonder why the coaches don't want them shown. It's not like other teams can't bring in scouts to attend the actual game, if that's what they are worried about.

I'm disappointed but it's nice to at least have a reason and some advance notice that video is not an option. I would have been sitting there at the computer clicking refresh over and over at tipoff time tonight otherwise.

Hopefully the guys show some progress from last week tonight. Specifically, I'd like to see one or two of our post players to have a big game. As it is with the women's team, the distance the limiting factor for the men's team is most likely what kind of production they can get from the 4/5 positions. We know we are very solid at the guard/wing.

Way cheaper to spend $10 on a game stream than whatever it costs to send a scout.

Tyler and partner heaping praise on Daum's game, and mention a couple of times that King looks ready to go and most likely freshman to play this year.

9:00 to go. Jacks up 71-51.

Does someone know why Flatten isn't playing? Sorry if this answer is in another thread...

I asked Skyler tonight how the leg is doing, and he said it is coming along fine. BTW, Jacks have a deep bench and it sounded like Nagy might go with a deeper rotation than usual.

I have not been able to watch or listen to either game, but judging by Coach Nagy's comments and by minutes played each game, I'm getting the impression that Tevin King is going to play this year. For those who have watched both games, what are your thoughts on King and do you get the impression that he's going to play? With Skyler out for 4-6 weeks, his presence could be handy for depth and to have a little more experience going into next season with our 4 best guards all graduating.

Tevin is 100% gonna play this year. Gentry will also. Dykman and Brown would be the redshirts if I had to guess.
