I'm still rooting for Calvin...he's had an awfully tough senior year...it would be very cool if he wound up the hero on our final D-II championship run.

To be polite you could call this a "defensive" struggle, being honest and telling like it is this was one poor and embarassing half of BB by the Jacks.

This is one major problems this year.  Nagy is use to having enough talent and experience to substitute in masses.  This is not the case this year.  Nagy gets the blame here.  We had a 12-0 run and he subs out 3 of the starters.  This leads to a funk allowing UND back into the game.

Fortunately, UND is terrible and they are playing their worst game of the year (which is saying alot).  Against any other team in the league we are down at the half, against the top half of the league we are down big.

Things had better return to the way they were at the beginning of this game or we will be in for a fight to the finish which we don't need.  Stick with the top 7 or 8 guys.  Plant Wening, Melany, and Green on the bench and leave them there except when someone needs a blow.  Use Jones and Beren wisely to spell Cerveny, Schantz, and Gass.  Moeller and Q can play the whole game if needed.  If they get tired give Giever some minutes or let Schantz play the 2 spot.  Suck it up Jacks (and Coach Nagy) and put away a team that we should beat easily.  I'm sick of playing down to our competition.

Jacks 39% from the field 3-12 from three-point land.  No free throw attempts.  What a sad stat line.  This demonstrates a lack of aggression/toughness.  Stop settling for 3's and get the ball into the lane, either by driving or by passing into the post.   Draw some fouls and get to the line.   When (if) UND takes this away kick the ball out for the "open" outside shot.  If its a 3 great.

I tend to agree, Jackmd...in basketball if you're not attacking, you're losing.

Jacks don't seem to be attacking on either offense or defense, and trying to get by on talent alone. They're good but not that good.

Muched improved on the offensive end.  Add a couple of 3's and we are right on track.   Need to pick-up the defensive effort, however.  Their 2 best are in trouble with 4 fouls.  Lets make a run and put this DII team away!! (Not 3's like the one Q just took)
