  • NIT:SDSU Jackrabbits @ CSU Rams

Avila should be back to full strength tonight. He is the 6'8" 250# forward that Cody and Ian will be attending to defensively. He leads the Rams in points, rebounds, minutes per game, and steals. He had sat out some conference tourney games due to a severe sprain to an ankle. The Rams start 3 redshirt seniors and 1 redshirt junior. They are a bit disappointed about being in the NIT, but they are not ready to close the locker room yet. They will play 8-9 players double figure minutes. The Jackrabbits will need to play some great defense to keep the Rams below their 72 point average. That would keep the game close and a good chance at the upset. Go Jacks!!

    Pretty simple really.

If Parks, Telly and Marshall shoot from 3 we have a chance.

If they shoot like they did against NDSU, we don't.

      Probably worth noting:

The NIT field will play with experimental rules: a 4-ft restricted-area arc & a 30-second shot clock.

              That's an interesting court design...

9-5 Jacks with 15:59 left in the first half. Timeout Rams.

Bittle with 5 points. Good defense early on for the Jacks.

Jacks are 3-6 from deep early on here in Fort Collins. Where was this last Tuesday?

Jacks lead 15-7 with 14:16 left in the first half.

Telly is at a disadvantage on defense but at an advantage on offense. If he's hitting from outside, we'll be sitting good.

His drive and dunk on the baseline got me to stand up

                            11:45 left in the half.

                            Jacks lead 18-9.

I'm a fan of the 30 second shot clock.

27-20 SDSU at the under 8 timeout.

                              Jacks are shooting 11-23 overall.

Larson has not attempted a shot so far in this game.
