  • SDSU @ WIU

We have a mirror-scheduling flashback tonight with the men at WIU and women at Omaha. Both games tip at 7:00. It's too bad one could not play tomorrow.

WIU has lost eight of their last nine games and took a 31-point beating from the Jacks in Frost a month ago. They are 3-3 at home, including a win over FW. Offensively-challenged WIU has not scored 70 points since early January.

Covington is the kind of player that could get hot and give you some trouble. I think this one will be more about the Jacks, however. Is there a post-NDSU hangover? Will they come out sharp and playing with some urgency? I'd love to see Larson have a much better shooting game tonight. It's so much easier to get a win when his offensive game is rolling.

Looks like I'm headed to Cubby's to watch them both! I hate it when these scheduling snafus happen! Yes, that is sarcasm! Cubby's wings and a tall, cool one for this guy!

WIU has a video feed for $6. Looks sharp in the pre-game anyway.

Tyler mentioned that the Jacks virtually lock up a top-2 seed with a win tonight. Nagy mentioned the 4-guard offense WIU will run and how that can create problems. Of his team he also said, "this is probably the worst rebounding team I've ever coached". Classic. Hopefully they keep up the offensive rebounding effort that they showed Saturday.

Listening to the game. It sounds like Jacks are playing poor defense and not taking care of the ball. We're lucking we are shooting well from deep.

27-23 Leathernecks at the under 8 minute media timeout.

this isnt sounding so good on the radio. We are letting a bad team score way to easy on us. hopeuflly its a fluke and western cools off a bit. sounds like they have had several dunks off of our turnovers.

we are one of the best defensive teams in the confrence and how the heck do we have 10 fouls against the worst team in the confrence.

This one is all about lack of defense. Giving up way too many points to a team that struggles to score. Way too many. Lots of fouling to make up for poor positioning on defense too. Double-whammy. Pick up the defensive intensity and the score will start to look "as it should". Keep this up, and there will be big-time foul trouble and a possible loss to a bad team.

Parks and Flatten have hit back to back threes to tie the game.
