I think Wolters deserves a bit more than a "solid recruit".

I am doubtful that there will be another of Wolter's caliber who will lace up their shoes at SDSU during my lifetime. There are so many adjectives to describe Nate's game and what he did for our University I'm not even going to try. Personally, I've been a lot less invested in our men's basketball program since Nate left. It's just not the same without him.

On the flip side, I bet there were a lot of us that never thought we'd see someone eclipse Josh Ranek.......but then ZZ came along. Hard to compare between football and basketball though.

I pretty much agree with all said in that post. Only thing I would say is that this year's team is on a current streak of not only winning but blowing out opponents that I don't remember seeing in the Wolters area or any other. I hope you jump back in for the rest of the year because the way they are playing right now is a lot of fun.

By the end of the year this may very well be the best team that has put on the Yellow and Blue.

Win at ORU was not exactly a blowout. May be best defensive team ever. Very possibly could lose 2 this week. At IUPUI and Ft. Wayne 2 days apart is not an easy task. Both of those teams are playing well right now.

True, but winning at ORU is very difficult. I watched that entire game and the Jacks were easily the best team on the court that night.

This week is huge. We go 2-0 and we have a lot of momentum heading down the stretch.

I wasted 17 bucks seeing a movie call Wedding Ringer and missed the game on Espn3, but I was so happy to turn on WNAX after the movie to hear we had won. I really did not think the Jacks would come out on top on that one. I suspect we will win both this week and both will be close games much like the ORU game. At home we have been monsters on defense and no one can deny that.

As stated in another post unless we lay an egg, these two games will be very close like the ORU.

The "Indiana trip" for the Dakota schools is the "Dakota trip" for the rest of the Summit. Thrilled to get 2 W's, and content with 1-1, and concerned about getting swept. WBB barely got the split, and could have easily ended up with 2 L's.

WBB only snagged the 1-1 on this trip. Hope the men can use their defensive play to score the sweep in Indiana.

Big test for the team but the timing is perfect: the Jacks are playing well in every aspect of the game and seem to be fine tuning what they do well. Guardedly optimistic: we win both Indiana games although we'll get strong challenges, particularly from IPFW, filbert's favorite team.

Re: Let's give credit to Coach Nagy and the Coaching Staff

Thursday night might be the Jacks' biggest challenge until Sioux Falls and following it up two days later with another road game will be difficult. I'm not going to throw myself off any ledge if we happen to split on this road trip.

To add something more pertinent to the thread title, I would think that coach Nagy's phone would again be ringing if the Jacks are able to get back to the NCAA Tournament for a third time in four years. He and his staff really have a good thing going here.

I was watching part of the Wichita State and UNI Men's game today and I believe the Jacks had offers out to Jesperson, Tuttle, Washpun, Lohaus and Baker before they ended up at these two schools. These guys are really good players and I'm guessing pretty good student athletes based on how the Jacks seem to recruit. The guys from Iowa--well one has to win out over the 3 Div 1 schools in Iowa first. That would be a major accomplishment. Plus UNO is right there recruiting in Iowa also. Looks like we got a really good one in Telly, and the ESPN announcers have always talked about how he doesn't play like a Freshman--and his tremendous upside. We may as well keep recruiting Iowa and get more here and there--Dykstra and Heemstra come to mind.

It is the end of our season and the rumors can begin.

Does not sound like a rumor this time, but a serious candidate. Hopefully one of the others will emerge. It not long ago, that Bradley was looking for a new coach. Its not an easy place to coach.

The curious wording of the article is: "The Journal Star has compiled a short list of five names whose credentials, background and links to Reynolds make them viable candidates as the 14th head coach at Bradley."

No source is indicated. I suspect this is likely a reporter pulling names out of his . . . hat.

Anybody aware of any connection of Nagy with Bradley AD Chris Reynolds? From his bio on the Bradley web site, nothing obvious leaps out at me.
                            "I think we'll be OK"

I thought Nagy was in the running (or again on a short list) for this position 5 years ago???

Was it even that long ago. That could very well be the reason his name came up in the newspaper's speculation now.
