First of two ( maybe 3 ) games this season. Although I think you will get the W, I don't think you will see a Coyote team fold their tent the first time it gets rough in Frost because our coaching staff has done an excellent job with not a whole lot of talent. I expect our program to be on the upswing,but I'm proud of how we have played thus far against teams with more talent then we have. Coach Hansen is just a great guy, and someday will be a heck of a head coach himself. They have gotten more out of our kids than Boits ever thought of getting.

im impressed with the progress the Jacks have made this year. I think there are some years ahead where these are going to be battles year in and year out. With the aid of the new arena, which should help recruiting, my guess is our talent pool will get better. Our kids play their asses of, and they have to, because based on talent, we would be double digit "dogs" every game we play. I expect a battle, but I the end,I see you getting a 5-7 point win.

USD does look better, and that small-ball lineup can give any team trouble if they are not prepared. I also think this is going to be a much "better" game than the last two at Frost. Today will be my son's first SDSU game. I'm hoping for a good crowd and fun atmosphere.

The yotes seem to be a perfect example of what a coach may add to the talent pool. Even losing their big that was one of their dominant players last year, the coaches have taken many of the same players to find more wins. The guys like Craig Smith and Austin Hansen as coaches have guided the team forward. I would guess the rest of the coaching staff has a similar scrappiness in their makeup as well. However, it is a game at Frost. Expect the yotes having a hard time hearing their own thoughts. Stop the 3 pt shots on the perimeter and the yotes will have trouble in the paint. Go Jacks!!

I agree with all of this. USD should be favored down in Vermillion. You've made a fantastic hire down there for your team. Smith will get USD to the dance, or at least put them in position to accomplish it. Between NDSU, State, USD, Denver, Omaha, and ORU there should be some great battles.

Jacks need to come out with same intensity against the Yotes. If they do that they will take care of things fairly easily. The Jacks have not had a good shooting game yet. Obviously, this would be a fantastic game to make that happen. These guys understand now that effort is the key. Will be very disappointed if they don't convincingly win.

Also, would be nice to see red vs. white uniforms for this game instead of black vs grey. Just my personal opinion, I'm sure others will disagree.
