Great game for the Jacks. Haven't heard much from the "Marshall shouldn't be getting so much time" camp lately. That is what happens when folks jump the gun.

Again, great to see this team continue to improve. Granted there are still a few rough parts, but this team is gonna be a lot of fun to watch.

            Re: Omaha

In the TV post-game interview, Nagy commented on how Marshall has really come around ... "we have two good guards" when referring to Parks and Marshall.
Nagy said the guys can't judge him (Nagy) from how he acted during the game because he was really happy with this win...'whenever you win on the road you gotta be happy'. the TV guys noted that starting with the second half of the NDSU game, we've outscored opponents by 63 points--To what do you attribute that? Nagy: It's our defense. We've been working on what we do during practices and not worrying so much about what the other team is going to do. We're playing better and starting to believe in ourselves.

Tyler M's interviewee is George Marshall.
17 last game, 25 tonight, feel like you're comfortable at SDSU? Yeah. Now I feel I'm starting to get the feel back on my whole game.
TM Early on not aggressive enough? GM: Letting the game come to me more...everything coming together now.
TM: This was a good team (Omaha), what did you do today to cause Omaha to have problems? GM: they have really good guards. We played okay defense in first half but in second half turned it up.
GM: Last game key was defense and in this game key was defense.

                Re: Omaha

                TM interviewing Coach Nagy:
TM: This is a very high powered Omaha team you held to 29% from field and 1 of 16 from 3. Nagy: Well, we gave up 19 offensive rebounds. If we can clean that up this would be an even better victory. "I can always find things wrong, you know me...." Try to tell our kids how fast these guys play but hard to do in practice so we had to adjust our game.
We said when we get George Marshall he's one of our best shooter...said he'll have to adjust and get into rhythm (which he's doing)... I don't expect him to get 25 every night but he takes pressure off Cody and Deondre and makes them better players.
Reed T: Really pleased, great kid, confident young man. I tell him not to shoot and he doesn't listen and I really like that in a young man.
We won the game playing defense.
Two guys off bench--- Keaton and Lane. I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of those two guys. Lane wasn't backing down from anyone. Super physical. Keeton tremendous for us, great, great minutes off the bench for us.
TM: last few minutes, some fouls, used as teaching minutes. SN: I had to apologize to the guys for the last few minutes, said some things I regretted and had to apologize. I didn't want to diminish what they did...really proud of them.
TM: Home games. SN: nice to be home in our beds for extended time. Hopefully it'll be good for us. Told the kids after the game: starting to play very well, defense is what got us here but still some things to clean up to continue getting better.

Thank god for going deeper. Didn't think Nagy had that in him.

Is there any one on this message board who now thinks George Marshall has not earned his 30 plus minutes of playing time? Come forward or forever hold your peace.

BTW Connor Devine seems to be struggling particularly on offense. Defensively not too bad.

Good win against a team that won't compete for the auto bid. It seems apparent that anybody could win this years tourney. Will make for one heck of an eventful first year in the new venue. I like the Jackrabbits chances.

Agreed. Feels like our best 5 started today. Good contributions up and down

+63 in the scoring column since halftime at NDSU. Today it was done on the road and without one of the starters. Things are definitely looking up. Most people knew that the Marshall transition would take some time. It's happening.
