Thanks for posting, I hadn't seen them yet. I wish there were some renderings of what Frost will look like. I like everything about the new plan for Frost... Suites, loge boxes, more concessions and bathrooms (on both sides), better sight lines... All of this will be a huge (and needed) upgrade.

I know it will never happen. But renovating the barn into a baketball and volleyball only practice facility would be awesome. Be old school look but new court and hoops etc. Teams could have their own meeting rooms and locker and weight rooms. That would be awesome IMHO.

I wonder if it would be more likely that they'd build something like that north of Frost and the Wellness Center so it would be closer. Rumor had it Scobey Hall was slated to be torn down fairly soon, and they could use the Barn's current location for the departments now housed at Scobey (with a new building of course).

Cool. Things are beginning to roll. With all of the improved facilities in the Summit, a practice facility is really needed.

I know it will never happen. But renovating the barn into a baketball and volleyball only practice facility would be awesome. Be old school look but new court and hoops etc. Teams could have their own meeting rooms and locker and weight rooms. That would be awesome IMHO.

I didn't see this posted yet but next week's agenda has a $15 million project for doing the addition. I think similar to doing the SJAC before the stadium that it makes sense to get this part done prior to the remodel.

Looks like the preliminary facility statement for the renovation of Frost is on the BOR agenda for next week. Nothing overly surprising in terms of details in my quick skim of the document but it's good to see some action with this topic.

Funny they list the engineering expo as being hosted in Fost. I know that the last 4 years have been at the swiftel center, maybe longer. seems they are trying to trump things up a bit. (saying not connected with the political candidate)

It is. This will be be a big deal for SDSU. For day to day practice and operation of MBB, WBB, VB amd Wrestling. The cherry on top is an awesome GameDay arena, and and awesome experience for fans.

You are partially correct there. You can get a permit to serve beer and wine but you can't sell it. So, for events on campus like the Jackrabbit Scholarship Auction and other charity events I've been at in the PAC the alcohol has been included in the price of the ticket. I realize that it is six of one, a half-dozen of the other but it does make a difference. They are able to sell alcohol now in the facility at McRory Gardens.
