Ill be surprised if Broman is starting at the 2. I think Parks with start at the point and Bittle will be the 2. I agree with the rest of the starting lineup until Marshall is eligible. Excited of the upcoming year! Lots of new faces and unproven players with talent.

So now I'm curious about who they are going to pick to win the Summit. IPFW ?

Have to think its going to be Denver. The only key player they lost was Udofia and they return my early Summit POY pick, Brett Olson. IPFW lost quite a bit but return Forbes, McCray and Mo Evans.
I'm guessing its going to be:
        1. Denver
        2. SDSU
        3. ORU
        4. NDSU
        5. IPFW
        6. UNO
        7. USD
        8. WIU
        9. IUPUI

        3-5 could be switched around

I think the conference rank refers to the conference finish in 2013-2014, not a prediction for next year.

I believe that's a typo. If you look at all the teams ranked below the Jacks , they all say 2014-15.

It is a typo, in checking some of the other teams conference rank, it does not correspond to last year's finish.

Denver was the trendy pick last year and they never really impressed me , especially getting smoked by 40 in the semi's against the Bison. Plus, Udofia was the heart and soul of that team. And they have absolutely no experienced bigs to replace his 35 minutes. The only size they have is a 6'10" incoming freshman.

This season seems to really be up for grabs. I'd be surprised if anyone finishes with only 2-3 Summit losses. Some team will rise up and surprise us the way IPFW did last season. Hopefully it is SDSU. I expect we'll be near the middle of the pack at the half-way point, but we have the potential to pick up a lot of steam as Marshall and the other newcomers work things out. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what might be a little more athletic team run the floor.

It's hard to say. It always amazes me the major jump forward players take in their sophomore year. Broman lacks foot speed and that is hard to change. If he works hard and improves he will get his minutes. Bittle was impressive towards the end of the year. He's a great defender and he really picked up his game offensively. We NEED him to be productive offensively. Marshall on paper seems to have some tools we haven't seen. His speed is going to be a plus. If he gets comfortable and is productive early on the Jacks will be tough.

I'm as excited as anything to see what Cody does this year. In many ways, last year was his freshman year on the floor. He showed that he can be dominant on both ends and we should expect to see a lot more of that!

No question it should be another exciting year!

This team could sure use Bittle being effective on offense but most of all they need his grit and defense and they need it on the floor consistently. Then injuries with Jake are a concern because he is a difference maker when he is healthy and his effect shows up in many more important ways than scoring. That being said I agree that the best potential for this team is with Jake building consistency around the periods of brilliance offensively that he showed last year.

Not sure where to put this but Denver comes in at #77 in College Sports Madness Top 144. SDSU came in at #117 and ranked 2nd in the Summit while Denver is picked to finish 1st.

According to Terry's Tuesday Tidbits today Parks is our starting point guard. Imagine Marshall will move into that slot when he returns and Parks moves to the two position.
