  • Next Year's Non-Conference Schedule

Does anyone know roughly the timeframe the schedule will be posted? Also, are there games already scheduled?

    Thanks!

The schedule doesn't usually get finalized until September, if I recall correctly.

      Re: Next Year's Non-Conference Schedule

I did a search of this forum, the schedule falls usually around the same time each yr....last year on 9/4 the men's schedule was released, 8/22 womens was released. The mens was delayed a bit because of some unavoidable scheduling delays.

Murray State comes to Frost as part of the BracketBuster game a couple years back. That is the only for sure game that I know of.

UND, UMKC, Murray State come to Frost.

          We go to Buffalo, Minnesota.

That's all I know for now. I heard about a tournament in Utah right after the first semester (So Marshall could play) that consists of 3 games against D1 teams, but cannot confirm that as of now. Also heard they tried to schedule a home-and-home with UNI, but UNI will not do it. So not sure if they'll be playing them or not.

It will help adding ORU and two more conference games. Hopefully that means we can avoid playing the extra DII games next year.

Personally I'd like to see all the D2's off the schedule but I don't have the sense of history as a lot of people on the board. I love the competitive NC schedule we played this year even if it seemed to rattle the team early. I'm guessing with a younger team, we'll see a "softer" schedule. Thanks for the info.

I wonder if an International 'exhibition' trip would be possible this year? I think the NCAA allows them 1 every 4 years, and IIRC they took one Nate's frosh season to Canada. The extra practice time to integrate new pieces & give young players experience could be a huge advantage for this team next season.

The team is heading to Brazil in August.

I wonder if Marshall would be able to play in international games, since they seem to be somewhat outside of the NCAA "rules". That would be a big benefit to traveling. I can't wait to see that guy in action.

Pretty sure anyone on the roster can play in any non-sanctioned event like this the Brazil trip.

Looks like we're playing the University of Utah in Salt Lake City on December 23.

Marshall should be eligible for this game right?
