Jacks were up 63-62, then got outscored 10-2 the rest of the way. Nice 2nd half effort. Tough playing without 2 starters. Horstman really stepped up though.

I wish I could feel good about this game, but the first half was just too ugly. Second half didn't totally make up for it. Guys didn't quit though.

Maybe they'll take that lesson into next year--play inspired from the opening tip, rather than wait. Anybody can beat you if you don't bring it from the very beginning and keep it up for 40 minutes.

On to women's basketball and the WNIT . . .

. . . on further reflection: The Jacks at full strength win this game, and probably win it fairly easily. Dang near won it anyway, even with two starters on the shelf.

So glad they did not end this game with a second half as ugly as the first. Good recovery, but the hole was just too deep.

This program came a long way during this set of senior's time at SDSU.

Not only Horstman receives kudos from yours truly, but also Borman. He was in position to get several defensive rebounds. He may not be the scoring machine that we expected, but he seems to be coming a good player.
