    hey, im just looking to get a free bottle of crown. But im not thinking we lose to NDSU next week. But then, ive had a couple crown/cokes so maybe its having an affect on my brain right now.

      Yes they did surprise me. They seem to have our number today. Season is long from being over.

        BTW, thats the Jacks first conference home loss in 3 yrs. Its one game. We have 5 more conference games at home. Im confident we win those 5.

          Our season will end in SF if we don't win those games. It no doubt will. We could have used George Marshall today.

            I'm glad we are conceding the game in Omaha. Realize we shot the ball about as bad as we could tonight, and still had the game in question with two minutes to go.

            I would bet in Omaha that we will make more than three threes and Dykstra will shoot better than 4-17 and 1-9 from 3. We may still lose the game down there, but let's not just concede the victory now.

              The mavs came to play. They out hustled the Jackrabbits. They played sticky defense. They play much faster than the Jackrabbits. The Jackrabbits should not try to run with them. The new rules for contact are out the window. Arm bars, down low pushing, and hand checks are numerous as ever. The signature call was when Larson suffered a take down and received the whistle.
              Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

                That's why I started my post with "If". Lots of season left. You never concede a loss or guarantee a win. I realize my post was pretty negative. Just frustrated with the dumpster fire I witnessed this afternoon...

                  Rationalize, deny, compare, contrast,etc... Reality? Plenty of open shots were missed tonight and that has been an ongoing problem. This team struggles to score because they don't have a true point guard and they don't shoot well.

                  It's hard to win when you don't score with proficiency. Last 2 years SDSU had the most proficient offense in the Summit and the nation. Prior years and now this years team are very inefficient on offense. Disciplines and deliberate offensive sets can sometime overcome

                    Jacks also struggle to match up on defense. Nagy admitted that the coaches did a poor job of making adjustments on D for 2nd half. I don't think it would have mattered. UNO shoots FTs even close to their usual percentage Jacks would have lost by 20.

                    Dominant performance by UNO, that is a fact. That does not predict good things for this years team. Another poor performance and a bad loss. The sky is not falling but it's teetering on the edge.

                        I have season tickets to give away, since we suck and its a waste of time to drive to Brookings to watch us lose every other Thur and Sat. And i might as well give away my Summit tickets too since we have no chance in hell of dancing this year. Highest bidder gets em all free.

                          I already have enough season tickets and I will use them. Telling it like it is doesn't make me or anyone else less of a fan. Fellas got their butt kicked on their home court in front of 3000 plus supportive fans. I am lucky enough to be able to be there next Saturday. Expecting a Jackrabbit victory. Doesn't change the fact that UNO whipped the Jacks today.

                            So getting whipped one game doesnt mean the season is done like so many are thinking. You see the big boys lose to teams they shouldnt lose to and still win it all. It was one game. These are college kids. Even the pros have off nights. But really i could care less about what other people think, just having some fun.

                              The disheartening thing to me was hearing Nagy say in the post-game radio interview that the team played today the way that had practiced all week and that the team does not work hard enough in practice to be a conference champion. Most of that probably falls on the players , but the coaches need to find a way to change it sooner rather than later.
