    I thought the refs were hired to call the fouls when they see them and it should matter whether is 19 minutes or 19 seconds on the clock. Where does it say, you follow tradition in making calls. The Jack were the better team tonight.

        Uh there's no way that's a defensive foul. It could not have gone either way. It's either offensive or a no call. Bittle is a superb on ball defender and was rewarded for making a great play.

          Just saying, Jack fans would be furious if that call was made against us. This board would be lighting up if that call was made the other way. 95% of the refs do not call the game the last 20 seconds like they call the rest of the game. Not saying they shouldn't, but they don't.

            We are now 8-7 after starting the season at 3-7, and just won an ugly road game while being short handed......I'll take it. Hot damn, that look that Kareem Richardson gave Harrison after the charge and T was bone chilling.

            I love, love, love the way Larson, Bittle, and Carlson are playing right now.

              I'm of the belief that a referee should call the game consistently the entire game, regardless of how much time is left. There was clearly a push off by Harrison, whether or not it was enough for an offensive foul was up to the official and he made the call. Harrison's technical really sealed the game for the Jacks. It was an ugly game, but any win on the road is a good win.

              The 18 TO's, plus 5-22 from deep really hurt tonight. A lot of those threes were wide open and even Nagy said in the postgame that he can't explain why they aren't hitting them. I liked Carlson's point guard play tonight, even though he had a costly turnover in the final minute. He hit some big shots in the first half to keep the game within reach.

                I have to agree that refs let calls go late in game. My neighbor does high school games and he has attitude that a call late in game should not decide game. It does not seem logical since a call in first minute could turn the outcome as easily. It deflects potential blame I guess. If someone commits the foul late, it is the player who changed the outcome.
                Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

                  Also, we really need to work on our end of the game close outs. This is the second straight game were we looked like complete crap in the last minute, it should have never come down to the charge.

                    The refs in that Bakersfield game last year called it the same way all the way down to 0.0 left on the clock--terribly.

                      Agree, TO's late by Bittle and Carlson could have doomed us. Braydon is a great combo guard, but struggles with late game pressure. Our lack of confidence in our bench will bite us as well.

                          I honstly don't even know how that was considered controversial. I'm not a homer in the least and that was a fairly obvious call. Dude sent a forearm and it was clear from the replay.

                            Defiantly didn't deserve to win the game the way the Jacks played tonight, but i'll take the win. That "controversial" call was correct. It's no different than a big man posting up and lowering the shoulder. You have to make that call even though it was in the last seconds of the game. You call the game all the way through. The Jacks need to find a way to get Larson the ball more on the block. No one from a mid-major school can stop him (including Marshall Bjorklund). I hope we don't have to play UMKC in future seasons. You gain nothing for winning, but if you lose it lowers RPI dramatically and you have to deal with poor officiating. I know its usually an automatic "W" but still its not worth playing them on the road in front of no one. I'd rather play a lower level team from the Big Sky than the WAC.
