I suspect there would be interest, but I tend to believe that the guys Nagy has signed are more fitting to the mold that he is trying to make at SDSU. Some of these guys can be projects and if you are fighting your way up the mid major ladder, there is not much time left to work on projects, but with Krabbenhoft on the staff, I could be very wrong.

This will be interesting to watch what develops, if anything. We may have all the post people that we need. I would like to see SDSU pick up Carson, but it might not be in the future plans. Who knows? Not me.

Is Joe Ashley the last (only) 7 footer to don Jackrabbit blue? Joe was big and I think I saw him chew gum once, but he was a role player at best in the early 80's.

I think our staff should give Carson a healthy look, take a look at our roster for flexibility, and see if we can make things work if both parties are interested. I'm guessing that all will happen.

Bigs seem to be like starting pitching... You can't EVER have too much.
It doesn't appear height is the problem this year, and we have no scholarships available, but that could change. USU is a good program, but I bet Shanks goes D2.

I would agree. If there is interest, we can make room somewhere or somehow. His grand dad was maybe 6'7" played for the Huron College Scaplers, and I think SDSU passed on a good center moons ago. Gramps played for the Lake Preston Divers in SDSU's backyard. I never got to see Uncle Brian play, but I am sure he contributed something.

We don't have room. Good luck in Winona to Mr. Shanks.

I believe we offered him out of high school, but we currently don't have any scholarships open at the moment. We are also bringing in 2 bigs in the 2014 class (Theisen and Daum), plus have 2 contributing Bigs returning (Larson and Devine) for 2014 plus one red shirting this year (Doyle), so I'm not sure if he would be priority even if we had an scholarship available.

The way it sounds he was red-shirting his freshman year. If he would enroll somewhere for spring semester , he should be eligible at mid-season a year from now and have 3 1/2 seasons of eligibility remaining.
