TV reports that the Gophers are favored by 17. There's potential for a huge upset but honestly I think I would take UM to cover. I expect this one will look a lot like last year but will be tuning in to BTN hoping to be proven wrong.

The goofers don't press all that much in competitive games, I've seen them playing 8 from what I've noticed but will use it to spark a run.

Jacks are going to see pressure by anyone that can run it until they can prove that they can beat - by getting easy buckets. Far too often I see a Jacks team that appears to be satisfied with surviving it.

The easy bucket thing means uptempo. The Jackrabbits would need to have the bench ready for that. The Gophers would be quick to inbound and run to the other end. If the Gophers are not playing a deep bench, they may try to settle to half court offense instead. It will be interesting to see how the Jackrabbits work on the full court pressure. I would be surprised not to see Dykstra be a key to breaking the press. If Bittle is 100%, there might be another strategy.

Pretty decent half until the last minute and a half. We've rebounded decent except on the long rebounds. Dykstra missed a lot of the first half with 2 fouls. Hopefully he can come out at halftime and give us some more offense.

Funny thing about the zone, Minnesota isn't converting many of their open looks from behind the line, but have made their tough ones (there were two that were almost stupid that they went in as deep as they were).

Side note: I have the USD-KState game on FSN, SDSU-Minnesota on BTN, and Oakland-Indiana on ESPN2 right now. Kinda crazy.

Jacks shooting 37% overall from the field. 2-9 from 3. Chad White is 0-4 from 3. He's playing decent, just needs to hit those open shots. If they're gonna upset the Gophers, they're gonna have to hit the threes. (Duh).

Gophers shooting 41%, 25% from 3. MN + 6 on the glass.
