    Re: 2004-05 basketball schedules

Texas A&M's schedule is out and no Jackrabbit sightings. So we are down to OU and OSU if the rumors are true.

    Go State! ;D

      Re: 2004-05 basketball schedules

The UNO home page indicates that UNO (and therefore SDSU) will be playing Wayne State twice in the SDSU Classic in December, that is Wayne State, Nebraska and Wayne State, Michigan. Wayne State Michigan made it to the regional Division II finals last year.

OU's MBB schedule is out and no Jackrabbits. That leaves OSU as the only Big XII team left to release its MBB schedule. If it's not Texas A&M and not OU, it's either OSU or it didn't work out.

          Re: 2004-05 basketball schedules

This probably applies more to us long distance fans than others. For the past couple of years, we have purchased the ESPN Full Court Package (I think it's $100 or so) through our digital cable. You get gobs of basketball games from ESPN, ABC, and ESPN-Plus, four or five days a week. Looking at the Jackrabbit men's schedule, there look to be several games that could appear on the Full Court Package: Butler, UW-Milwaukee, Marquette, San Diego State, and Colorado are all teams I have seen frequently on Full Court.

It's a possibility, anyway, that some of those games could be available, which would be great. They don't release the schedule of Full Court games until a couple of weeks ahead of the games, so there's no way to know. But it would be really fun to see the Jacks on TV.

The Jackrabbitt Classic is now posted on the Wayne State Michigan web site as well as the UNO and Wayne State Nebraska sites so the field must be set.

Oklahoma State released its MBB schedule yesterday: No SDSU. So that rumor of another Big XII game (in addition to Colorado) seems to have fallen through.

It would have been nice to be on one of the BIG 12 schedules, but I think it will happen next year or there after.  We need to make a good showing this season and its going to be rough with a very young team.  Coach Nagy has a way of developing raw talent in a hurry so I think towards the end of the season, SDSU will be very competitive.

That's right, but the discussion was about rumors that there would be another Big XII game, in addition to Colorado. The rumors had narrowed it down to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State or Texas A&M. One by one, their schedules came out. So there is no second Big XII game.

It's a round robin, so SDSU plays both Wayne's, UNO plays both Wayne's.

Great schedule, but I'm more than mildly disappointed that the Jacks didn't schedule a single Big Sky team for basketball. I would have loved to see a test of the Jackrabbits' team against a Big Sky opponent.
