Oh totally agree set him to start at the high post or start the motion with him getting a lot of passes who can get the ball easily down to larsen and hit cutting players to the hoop. Need to use player strengths better.

The one thing that bothered me about the Howard game is the the hesitation on the outside shots. They can't hesitate. If ANY of our players have a wide open look they have to let it fly. Every person on this years team is capable of making the 3 ball. They guys team is total opposite of the women's team in terms of hesitation on their shots. When the women get an open look they shoot right away. They don't care if they missed their last shot. They have confidence and that is what the men's team is lacking right now. I expect this to turn around fairly quickly. Another thing that guys have to work is not standing around when the defense is in a zone. I saw Carlson and Dykstra stand with the ball in there hands for a while. They need to swing the ball or penetrate and go up for a layup or kick out to a wide open 3. There is a lot of potential with this years team.

It's definitely been ugly so far, but one thing that does encourage me a little is the fact that we ARE getting so many wide open shots. I do expect that the shooting woes will fade and that could make a big difference quickly. Defensive and PG issues are a much bigger concern to me. Those things don't just turn around if a couple of guys "get hot".

I'm excited to tune in tonight and hope to see more progress like we got from Larson and Broman last night. I saw on facebook today that TV had some praise for Larson, saying "He's turning into a beast. Rapid improvement in just a few games". I think that statement is noteworthy because TV does not wear the homer glasses that most of us do.
