    I'm not kidding anyone. This team has much bigger problems than are all-time former PG. With this type of defense and free throw shooting even Nate couldn't help them win.

    If people want to bury their heads in the sand and say it is all about Nate then they atr the ones that are most likely drunk.

      The Jacks lost this game in the first half. Montana was ice cold. Jacks had opportunity to build a big lead in the first half and failed.

      Montana went 10-13 from deep in the second half.

          Even Nate couldn't help them win????????????? Nate would be the one taking all the ****ing free throws. Jesus. They wouldn't be as tired on D because Nate would be running the show creating all of the offense.

          It's not all about Nate, but if you don't think that's the biggest difference between this team and last years team you are high af.

            I've never said it wasn't the biggest difference...all I'm saying is that hiding behind the Nate excuse is the easy way out.

                I think a lot of his play is due to being a freshman. I actually would like to see him drive and shoot more than he did this last game, more like he did in the USD game, especially if the offense isn't working as it was in the second half. We're supposed to be big and strong and emphasize rebounding, so even if he misses more than he makes we'll have good opportunities for points.

                  It's unfortunate there is not a pure point guard on the roster. The offense functions much better with Carlson on the wing. We really miss the ability to penetrate and kick out for threes.

                    Right now the team isn't in sync. Miscommunication on both the offensive and defensive end, and not much flow on the offensive side of the ball. I was screaming at my computer just like everyone else does, but at the end of the day, fans need to step back and remember it's only game 3 of a long college basketball season.

                        I don't see how it's an excuse. It's just a statement of fact. We have been the suck so far without Nate. Fact. Everyone else needs to step up and no one is. I don't know how that's an excuse or "bury their heads in the sand" bull****. If anything, it's the opposite. It's coming to realize the fact that some of these guys aren't nearly as good as we thought they were when Nate was playing. That's tough to admit. Maybe it will be proven wrong throughout the year, but as of now, it's pretty apparent that this team isn't very good.

                        Mostly because Austin Hanson isn't there to coach them to shoot free throws. Probably nothing to do with the fact that the leading free throw shooter percentage-wise and volume-wise left. Who also happened to run the entire offense by himself leaving the rest of the players to catch and shoot and use their energy on defense. Don't think Nate could help them though.

                          Agree, and if you don't have the patience to endure more ugly losses over the next 10 games you are going to be very miserable. If this team ends up making its mark, it is going to be in February and March. There is just too much to be reinvented to be getting a bunch of nice wins the first month or two. Its going to hurt, but I'm going to hang in there hoping it pays off with a little magic in March, but that's a long way away!

                            Honestly yeah it is all about Nate. This team is seriously challenged without him. There slowness shows itself more often. Not getting the sexy 3 point looks like Chad and gang are used to. Ugh I could rage for paragraphs..
