Re: 2015 Recruits
Tall athletic kids are welcome on any basketball roster.
However:
NDSU 6'8"+ on roster - 2 (1 junior, 1 fresh)
SDSU 6'8"+ on roster - 5 (1 senior, 1 soph, 3 fresh)
Probably played a pretty significant role in this kid's decision of where to play. The path to playing time in Fargo is much smoother. It might be as simple as that.
This is a bigger miss for USD than it is for SDSU, IMO.

Of course there are kids with untapped potential but "upside" has become a "cliche". Somewhat of a synonym for a lot of risk. The offer on Nikko from MN is much more the type of project I'd like to see us take if we are looking at players with "upside". But who knows I guess.

I don't believe it is a place raw projects look at and think they can play right away given how we play and Nagy coaches.

Re: 2015 Recruits
How many scholarships are available? Though it was just 2. I would guess to try to get a big like pf\c and a guard. Guess I will trust nagy to know what we need to recruit.

Will be interesting to see who is our current focus based on needs and recent commits.

@RyanJamesMN: Donnell "Red" Gresham has committed to Northeastern. Gresham is a PG at Cretin-Derham Hall.
Had offer from the Jacks.

It's looking like Nagy's going to try and sign his PG and wait until spring for a potential transfer. It will be interesting to see who they sign (if anyone) this fall.
List updated. Thanks for the help Kemo.
As far as I can tell from known recruits, I'd say JT Gibson is our best chance at getting a fall signing. He's already visited Brookings and just visited Omaha this past weekend. All he has left for scheduled visits is Fargo in October. I don't think he is a sure thing, but I'd say he is our best shot at this point.
