I don't think anyone is naming his replacement but how many coaches stay somewhere 20 years? I think everyone is looking at it and saying who are the options as of right now to replace him if need be. Its a good argument and a fun one at that.

Coaches for basketball and football use to stay for a whole career. Bowden, joe pa coach K and bohiem. Its old school for coaches to stay a long time. ,

I think charie sheen said it best which also sums it up. Winning.

Okay a combination of winning and $$$$$$$$$$. That's why if and when Nagy leaves, he leaves a better program than what he found when he came from SIU-Edwardsville. Our chances of finding a replacement look much better now than say two years ago.

Because he interviewed for and nearly took a position at another program just 2 months ago. I see no harm in speculating. Coach Nagy will likely be the one deciding whether he stays or goes, that is speculation as well.

When we have good coaches, and other schools want them that's a healthy sign. We don't own their lives and they are free to make choices that will better their personal career. I.E. Austin Hansen.

                    Re: Austin Hansen resigns

Maybe after the "sit down" with the other job opportunity, Nagy came back and told Austin that he planned on staying forever.

Which, even if it's only until he's 60... is what another 13-15 years?

So, Austin took his talents to somewhere else, where he has a relationship, and can possibly make a name for himself in a bigger market. If UNC's program turns around and has success like SDSU's did... he's going to look awfully attractive to any number of schools.
