  • Where we gonna go dancin

Now that everyone is breathing normally after a gutsy, heart stopping (thank you AJ and ladies),and joyous Tuesday where do you think, wish, predict, desire, and want to see where Nagy's Flying Circus featuring Nate the Great, Red Marble and the Allstars go and upset some applecarts?

Close to me I hope the Palace of Auburn Hills, Home of the Detroit Pistons. It's a beautiful building with good site lines even if your in the last row of the upper deck. With Michigan and Michigan St being bracketeered into the Palace by all so far tickets may be at a premium unless you go through States allotment. On the Oakland U ticket site VIP tickets are pretty near sold out and the regular seats in the lower bowl are gone(for the schools?) so upper sections have some seats but going. Stub Hub today had around 1600 seats in just about all sections from $46 on up.

Hope they would be put in KC. I would definitely make that trip.

Same here. Only 2 to 2.5 hour drive away for me. Even if I couldn't get a ticket, I would still make the trip.

KC would be an excellent site. Easy to travel to for most fans in the region would help fill the stands with Jackrabbit blue. But a big factor will be who else will be in the bracket. I can envision KU being placed there, but it is fairly wide open who else will get placed there. I can see a team from the Big Ten, KU, and then a plethora of teams.

Give me KC also! And as a 13-14 seed playing a 3-4 seed...give us whoever...IMO they're all beatable. If they're talking UNM as a #2 seed and we took it to them at their place, a teams like ours with a player like Nate can make a run! I have a really good feeling about whatever 3-4 seed we get. As one poster on here likes to say...let's go out there and "get some"!!

If any coaches, administrators, and others of any university getting in the dance were watching or reading about the Jacks Summit League tourney games I bet they hope the Jacks are as far away from its fan base as possible. Now on the other hand the NCAA you would think they would want them as close as possible to South Dakota just for the revenue and putting some butts in the seats.

The NCAA could give a **** about how many people SDSU gets to the games. They are making their money by putting Major teams close to their fan bases. SDSU's placement as far as any extra revenue that we could generate (I doubt that much in the grand scheme of things) is far from the committee's thoughts.

Joe Lunardi today has us as a 14 playing Florida in Austin.

Re: Where we gonna go dancin

I'm hopeful of a men's match up in KC (would likely face Kansas or K-State) with a women's matchup in Iowa City. The NCAA could make some good money off Jackrabbit fans, but the NCAA doesn't give a rip about us. Though I am not impartial to a matchup in Austin, which is a 10 hour-ish drive from my location in Manhattan, Kansas. On the women's side there are like 3 or 4 regionals in Texas. Plus both locations are Friday games, less work to take off! Now if the Jacks are in Austin, I'd be willing to meet up with some fans in KC or Witchita or Manhattan to travel and defray travel costs to Austin. I've also got a spare bedroom and couch in my apartment down here to crash in

The only thing I care about is that it's far away from the opposing team's fan base and it's a good matchup. Looking forward to Sunday!

I still can't believe that NDSU was handed essentially a home game in their only NCAA appearance and we haven't gotten a break in 5 chances - the odds should break in our favor at some point.

Never having had this opportunity before - what's the best thing to do about tickets? - wait for Selection Sunday's announcement and then jump on Ticketmaster asap - or try and predict and buy in advance? The bracketology seems to be all over the place depending on who you read so I'm concerned but don't want to miss out on a chance to see the Dancing Jackrabbits
Message for the youth: “Set your goals high and work for them, because if you set your goals where they should be, it’s going to require a lot of hard work. And even if you don’t achieve them, it shows longevity, and it shows commitment. And those are both things you need for the rest of your life,” Tony Fiegen

I would call or email the Jackrabbit ticket office and ask their advice. If you are a season ticket holder with decent priority you can likely get tickets from SDSU.

Trying to predict where Jacks will play is impossible. Don't know about jumping online when the location is announced but I bet that would work.
