Oh man Nate just made Bass look stupid with that behind the back, off the glass shot!
Message for the youth: “Set your goals high and work for them, because if you set your goals where they should be, it’s going to require a lot of hard work. And even if you don’t achieve them, it shows longevity, and it shows commitment. And those are both things you need for the rest of your life,” Tony Fiegen
This is simply good basketball. Stay tuned for a crazy finish.
I like the way the Jacks fought back over the last 5:00. Fiegen hit a couple of nice shots and Wolters was Wolters. He will probably raise his scoring average a little by the time this one is over.
I think both teams have only played 6 men each in the half. Heemstra is the only bench player to see the floor for the Jacks so far. He came in while Nagy had a little chat with Dykstra

When Nate drove, swung the ball around his back and laid it in...drawing the foul (and he made the free throw), one of the announcers said "that's like playing Horse!" No kidding! Nate's playing in a real 'calm zone' right now, watching, studying, directing...our coaches and team make good adjustments at the half. So will Oakland. This has been a good game so far.
Looks like a Jacks game from 2 years ago where we just try to outscore the other team. Glad to be up by 4. Need to focus on defensive stops in the second half.
Also, Nagy needs to keep on the officials to watch Valentine's screens. He is the worst hip checker I've ever seen and the one time he made a perfect football block for an offensive tackle (two hands right into the defender's chest).
