This is not the facilty replacing the SF Arena. This is the facilities off of the highway 38 which goes to the airport from I-29 There are some Sanford facilities there that will host some high school tourneys this year I will find more specifics.

I think you mean the Pentagon. That won't be done until next year. Mike Miller's classic at the Corn Palace will host some big time high school teams from MN, FL, and NY the week after Christmas this year.

The Sanford Sports Pentagon facility is taking shape but I would think that next fall is a reasonable completion date. A week ago when I drove by they had the steel support structure up and the rest of the building was beginning to take shape around it. Right next to it is the Sanford Fieldhouse which apparently is up and running.

Yes, I understand the facility you are talking about. I work for Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine (please nobody hold this against me ) and I spend some of my time out at the sports complex. Again it (Sanford Pentagon) will not be finished until Fall 2013. www.sanfordpentagon.com The Sanford Pentagon Classic is going to be at the Elmen Center this year.

Here is the Sports Pentagon site for those that are interested. I have been awaiting the construction of this facility primarily because the main center court is to be built with a throwback look, something like the Movie Hoosier's.

There are a couple of things for sure1) I need to tune up my listening skills about the new complex, 2) If there is an interest in bringing good basketball to the Midwest, there are people ready to make it happen. When I go to the airport next week, I will try to get off early enough to find the new complex for future reference.

The South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame will also be moving to the Pentagon from its current home in Madison. And I can think of a certain SDSU senior and junior that will probably be inductees in the future.

Seems like Moen and his committee are looking at what was accompolished in high school career. I think Moen who I remember as Tank on the Sisseton Redman team, have done a lot of hard work in putting this hall of fame together.
I am not saying that Fiegen and White will not be admitted, but they might have to wait their turn.
