    for what its worth SMSU is shooting way to high of a percent. Rebounds and free throws are the reason we are winning right now. The guys need to realize that they are the team with a target on their back everygame. everyone will bring their best game to play us because that would be a good win for any program. Would love to be a fly on the wall in the lockerroom to hear what Nagy is saying right now.

      When heard that story in the news it was just so sad. Having a little one of our own just makes it tough to hear when bad things like that happen.

        at the 9.33 mark in the second the jacks finally have some breathing room with a 63-46 lead

          Jack lead 73-60 with 3.45 to play. Wolters has 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists - can he get a triple double tonight?

                    43.1 to play with Fiegen at the line who misses the front end. 79-69. Fiegen makes the back end for 80-69.
                    34.9 to play after the Mustangs hit a 3 to make it 80-72

                          81-72 final: Jacks win a closer than expected game. Listened to it on radio, so I'm curious how open their shots were. Wondering if it was poor D or the Mustangs hitting tough shots?

                            They seemed to hit a bunch of open 3s. Did well in the paint also Tough to watch on the TV with both in light unis!

                                To answer your question about open shots for the Mustangs is unforetunately "yes" they were mostly open looks. They also had some easy baskets in the paint which is unlike the Jacks to give up. I think there are a number of reason for this game being close.

                                1. Mustangs are a pretty good team but should not be in the ball game vs the Jacks.
                                2. The Jacks simply did not shoot the ball well from the line or perimeter.
                                3. The Jacks looked tired. I wonder if the big road trip to Hofstra with three games in three days plus the travel was taking its tole?

                                It was still a win but not very impressive. Maybe some time off and a little time away from basketball will help.
