The Ex. season is over - ok it was just one game and a scrimmage - it is time to turn the the regular season and the season opener. I'm really fired up that this one is on ESPNU so we can watch it.

I believe I may make the journey over to Tuscaloosa to cheer on the Jacks Friday evening. It's only a 6 hour trip from here or so.

I sure am glad SDSU has a veteran group. If we can attacked the press. We should be okay. It is going to be a high scoring game I would think.

It is always great to see the Jackrabbit fans on TV. It always seems to be 100-200 fans wherever they go. ESPNU will allow the rest of us to watch! Your seat will be the best.

This will be and interesting game. Alabama is big and young. Two kids at 7ft, another two at 6ft 8in. Three international players and a couple of transfers. They do not have a senior on the team and picked to finish 8th in the conference.

What was the report from our scrimmage vs Whitcha State? Even though you supposedly do not keep score I am hearing we both won that and lost that scrimmage?

Set the DVR for this game and the NDSU game. If the Jacks shoot well and don't turn it over it will be a great road win, probably the best in program history.

Still think Washington was a better win, but this win would elevate Jacks more than Washington did if you can believe that

                Re: Alabama

It looks as though the 7 footers did not play much last year(2-4 minutes a game in close games). Most of the starting lineup is back as it looks as though there were more than 1 set of starters and 5 of those are back. It appears we should match well size and experience. Experience may even tip to SDSU slightly. They have a 6-4 senior guard redshirt who is key. The Jackrabbits should compete well. I would expect Coach Nagy will have some kind of 9 player rotation if everyone is healthy. A high scoring game could benefit the Jackrabbits as well even if they are on the road. This would be a great win to have to start the season.

I agree but that was last year. This could be our signature win this year! Going to be a blast watching it!

Tide struggled a bit in their only exhibition game of the season last night.

                          Re: Alabama

They had over 10k attendance for the game. That is good turnout for exhibition. There were only 7 players used much with a couple of injuries which one was a starter. The coach had wanted a slower more controlled game. I hope that the Jackrabbits can take them out of their game.

Its an easy game for a program like Alabama to look past. A win will mean a lot more to the Jackrabbits than to Alabama. I think its a win SDSU really needs if we want a shot at a 12 seed or higher. Our SOS is poor and the chances for signature wins (relatively speaking) are slim.

I think the Jacks win this one and do so fairly convincingly.
