Nate is working out with the Knicks tomorrow, again another team I'd expect to draft a point guard.

Back 2 back workouts half way across the US-- boy I think Nate should've taken some time on his agent choice. I don't see Nate being picked before 39 at this point. There are teams that love Erick Green and their are more teams that like Isiah Cannan than Nate Wolters(not including the obvious top 6). If Nate could've went into this draft process at 210-213 with a little more explosion--he would've been a top 21 choice. I like Nate but I think he needs time and the right situation. If I was Nate-Id WANT to get drafted in round 2 anyway--I hope his agent and the guys at IMG have him understanding that he needs to build explosion through weight training to enhance his physical liabilities. Best places for him to go Milwaukee Philadelphia Portland Utah. He would not like NY nor is there almost ANY chance they would swing pick 24 at him.

Nates weight is at 196 lbs, he would have had to add 15 pounds of muscle while working on his jump shot and quickness. I don't think that would be healthy or make him quicker. The biggest knock i have heard from scouting websites is his lack of lateral quickness, not his lack of explosiveness. I consider them two different things. I guess when I think of point gaurds in the NBA, I think of quickness, and not explosiveness. But maybe I am misinterpreting your post.

At this point you get into the teams when you can.

I keep hearing Nate is undersized, he is top 3 in terms of height, weight and body fat in those projected to get drafted. Its not like he's a twig, its not like he is weak.

I follow a ton of draft rumors and I'm hearing Utah likes him a bunch, enough that some believe they could use 21st pick on him. Others feel OKC or Phoenix could take him late 1st. Rumors are the Knicks are interested, and are also looking at acquiring another late 1st or early 2nd round pick.

I would be shocked if Wolters isnt picked before 40. He is getting so much love from every workout he has been to so far. The only negative thing scouts say about him is the lack of competition he played against and his lateral quickness which can be made up by his high basketball IQ. Scouts have always had concerns about his quickness but Nate somehow always finds a way to get to the rim whenever he wants. There is nothing wrong with Nates weight or size. That is actually one of his upsides. Nate is currenly ranked as the #8 (#37 overall) best point guard in this years draft on by chad ford on espn (Ford is not a big fan of Wolters and always have underated him). That is 1 spot below Canaan (Wolters outplayed Canann during the Murray State game IMO) and 1 spot ahead of Green. I Would like to see Nate go to the Lakers, Jazz, Knicks, OKC, Bucks, or the TWolves. In every Mock draft that i have seen Wolters could be anywhere from late 1st to early 2nd round.

Nate will be fine for back to back workouts. At this point, teams mostly know what you can do, but you want to workout out for as many teams as you can, because you never know if something happens on draft night and they want to draft you but you didn't workout with them so that can only hurt your stock.

Also, why in the world should be 210-213?? Makes no sense. The average size of an NBA pg is 6'1" and 170lbs and it is widely known thay the ideal size is 6'3 1/2" and 190lbs. I think his agents know a little bit on how the draft process works.

Why can't he fit into a good situation where he can develop and get drafted in the first round like a Norris Cole. He would fit in better when he has better talent around him. Also, 2nd round picks are not guaranteed and 1st round picks are so in NBA you want to get drafted in 1st round

You have to be out of your flippin mind to think he WANTS to get drafted in the 2nd round. Couple million $$ guaranteed vs nothing guaranteed. It's not all about the money but come on man...

I agree - if anything , I've heard people say going undrafted may be better than going in the second round because as a free agent you can control where you go and get into the right situation.

Yeah and no, not many 2nd rounders make a roster spot out of camp, but hardly any un-drafted free agents do as well.

It would be awesome if Nate weight 210 pounds and had better foot speed, to go along with his overall game, the problem is somethings are harder to fix then others. Gaining weight and increasing your foot speed are towards the top, especially if your not going to use steroids in the process.

I almost threw up in my mouth when I saw that people want nate at 210-213. Raymond Felton is 205 and a couple inches shorter but he is still about 15-20lbs too heavy and I do not want a pg on my team over 200 unless they are somebody like lebron. Another comparison is DRose who is 6'3" and 190lbs.

And a tweet from a sports writer of theirs Marc Berman @NYPOST_Berman Spoke to a scout about South Dakota State's Nate Wolters. Great floor vision. Nice shooter. Just doesn't have foot speed. Neitherdid Nash.

I heard from a pretty good source that Nate is not going to make it out of round 1. Good for Nate--I thought for sure he was going 32-39 or so. He's had a nice workout for the Clippers and then the Knicks. Take that FWIW.

Oh please, unless you know a GM, or have a friend who's a coach in the NBA, don't go there.
