    Every game the Lady Jacks play is a good chance to get everyone in the game ;D ;D

                Jackrabbit Women Defeat Si Tanka 94-59

                BROOKINGS, SD - South Dakota State started the game with a 17-2 run and went on to defeat Si Tanka-Huron 94-59 in women’s basketball Wednesday night at Frost Arena.

                Shannon Schlagel scored seven points in the opening run while Megan Vogel and Sarita DeBoer had four each.

                Si Tanka cut the lead to seven at 23-16, following a basket by Jamy Eckstaine with 9:18 to play. After a Si Tanka basket by Judith Crespo made it 36-25, the Jacks went on a 9-1 run to lead 45-26 and it was 45-26 following a basket by Vogel with just under two minutes to play in the half.

                The Jacks led 47-29 at halftime.
                SDSU led 67-38 on a basket by Schlagel with 12:12 to play, and pushed the margin to 34 on a free throw by Vogel with 7:29 left.

                Vogel and Schlagel scored 19 each to lead the Jacks while DeBoer had 18.
                Si Tanka’s Corrie Villegas led all scorers with 22 while Jamy Eckstaine had 17 for the Screaming Eagles.

                SDSU shot 53 per cent (17x32) for the first half and 44.8 per cent for the game (30x67) while Si Tanka shot 38.1 per cent (24x63).

                SDSU, now 17-6, will host the University of Sioux Falls in a 7 p.m. game Saturday (Feb. 12). Si Tanka is now 10-14.
