              Thanks for the updates. Nice win. Never thought I would say that about a victory over an obscure lesser division team from one of the US territories, but life is funny like that.

                FORT MYERS, Fla. -
                South Dakota State took third place in the National Independent Tournament, beating Puerto Rico-Bayamon 87-57 on Saturday.

                South Dakota State (9-17) quickly fell behind 7-0 but went on an 11-point run to take the lead. Five Jackrabbits scored in double figures: Steve Holden scored 19 points, Ben Beran had 18, Joe Green had 17, Luke Geiver had 15 and Jared DeJong scored 11.

                Luis Brignoni led Puerto-Rico Bayamon with 28 points.

                The Jackrabbits will spend a couple more days in the Sunshine State to face Central Florida on Monday in Orlando.
