Why isn't SDSU-NDSU on TV?

I'll watch on my computer, fine. But, why isn't this on TV? Heck, UM-Crookston vs. Upper Iowa (men and women) was on MidcoNet last wknd. WTH?

Sad when the (current) biggest Dakota rivalry isn't on TV...somewhere.

NSIC has a contract, I believe, with Midco Sports Net.

Between NDSU, SDSU and USD, you'd think the three schools could get together and put together an attractive package, although the basketball schedule next year isn't favorable--there are three weekends when all three schools have away games--Dec. 1-3, Jan. 5-7, Jan. 26-28.

When they go to mirror schedules, it will be much easier, because all the schools will have home games every weekend. It will then be a matter of the three schools coordinating their home game start times to accommodate the network. (Something like SDSU starting at 5:30 pm, USD starting at 7:30 pm, NDSU starting at 9:30 on Thursdays, then flopping it around on Saturdays--and maybe alternating SDSU and USD's start times to give SF fans the occasional chance to get to B-Ville-V-Town for the 7:30 game)

Not easy, but do-able, given sufficient motivation by the schools involved. Midconet gets twelve hours of live D-1 basketball every week, the schools get the exposure, Learfield gets a cut of the ad revenue (at least from SDSU and I guess USD games), everybody happy.
