    Re: NDSU

The only roadblock to you winning this game is the mental one. You are a much better team than the Bison, yet they have this so called "mental edge" over you. End it now.

Kick the hell out of them and let them know there is more than one Dakota school. Good luck.

Like the womens team, who avenged two home losses on the road,I think the mens team will do the same.Should have beat them at home, but beating them at their home court will be even sweeter.

FWIW, I knew last years (and years before them) team was aplenty w/ malcontents. According to one player on the team last year "everyone had quit". I had such enormous hopes coming into this year simply b/c we had rid ourselves of those cancers (was noted on this very site).

          Anyway...

As I sat in Frost extremely annoyed and frustrated (like you) as I saw Travonne Wright make putback after putback (only to be annoyed more as I saw a horrible 3-point shooting ORU team drain 14-17) I just had this feeling (and no, I'm far from one of those goofs who pick their fave team to win everytime they play) that it would be different in Fargo this year. And that was before it was clear that we are a better team than them. We're a 12-15 pt better team than the Bizun. I'll go out on a limb...they have our number...we are young...we have never beat Tviedt (man how I wish he would have stayed true to his home state)...but we win....80-74.

            I agree.

Sometimes a team has your number, for whatever reason.

The only way to end that, is to win. Gut it out.

1 point win or 37, we need a win.

Exactly, ugly, pretty, blowout, close game, poorly officiated, marred with controversy, whatever, we need a to beat the Bison.

Although, if we don't, it isn't the end of the world and we can still win the Summit League tourney. So, we don't really need to beat them but it would sure be nice.

I am going to blame the transition. coach never really had many problems with the Bizon before, A lot of things didnt go well for the team to keep losing to NDSU. I have no doubt that coach will get it straigthen out and back to our winning ways soon.

I've heard this argument before from Bison fans, here are some facts:

                    Overall Records:
                    SDSU - 32-26
                    NDSU - 24-32

                    Conference Records:
                    SDSU - 20-15
                    NDSU - 15-20

I know you'll probably pull out the 9-0 thing but this pretty clearly illustrates that Nagy is the better coach night in and night out. Especially when you consider that Nagy had the disastrous transitional issues hanging over his head, and Saul had the head start of a tournament qualifying team.

If I was a Bison fan, I'd be more concerned with my coach's overall quality than in his ability to beat one team. BTW, usually the overall better coach will figure things out over the long run.

I suspect that once SDSU gets over the hurdle, NDSU will struggle mightily to win many in this series, just like they've struggled to win many in the conference since Woody went "pro".

We need to pull out the Black Jerseys for this game just to change it up. Let get it done and roll into Sioux Falls! Clint will not have another 1-10 from 3 on this night and we win by a dozen with Wolters getting 25 and Dykstra 21 and Sargent 20.

Keep in mind your being logical and looking at all the issues that have occurred during the transition. Hando Ex and the others are Bizon fans, some of whom are now calling for Saul to be fired. My feeling is that when the string ends it will end in a big way. I would actually prefer it to be on the road in Fargo which to me will be far more satisfying.

I think next year Cam Hornby will give Woodside all he wants as I think he has the quickness to play with him. Things will equal out a bit next year with us adding our own four redshirts to the squad. I like Miles as a coach, but will put my money on Nagy over the long haul.
