This is something a hadn't heard until I read the "Message boards" article in the Argus.  From the article, "Nagy confirms that Green left the team after the semester. The other four players will return next year, and all but Beran (whose father recently died) are currently in summer school."

My heart and prayers go out to Ben and his family.

I read that this past Sunday and I wish Ben and his family the best. Hopefully fans will get out and back Ben during this season to show him our support.

According to the Iowa City Press-Citizen, Ben Beran is playing in the Iowa Prime Time League this summer. It is a league that includes current and past Iowa, Iowa State, and UNI players, along with players from many of the community colleges in Iowa. It's a very competitive league. Andy Moeller played in the league a few years ago.
