    Re: UMKC @ Frost GDT

Trying to put a positive spin on a bad loss:

At tournament time we may be better off getting the #6 seed than either #4 or #5. The 4th and 5th seeds play eachother in the opening round and then run right into Oakland in the semi's. Seeds 6 and 7 would avoid Oakland until the finals. The third seed would also avoid Oakland, but that's probably out of reach after last night. That was a tough loss.

It will be a roller coaster untill this team figures that out.
We're all bummed after the loss last night. No way we should have lost that game. No need to sugar coat that.

I guess I look at differently. Yes, this probably isn't the last dip in this rollar coaster ride but if anyone on here isn't thoroughly excited about the way things are going it would kind of shock me. Is there a long way to go? You bet! But we are headed that way.

All we can do is see how this team comes out and plays tomorrow night. Last weekend we got beat on Thursday and responded with the best effort of the year and arguably one of the most complete basketball games a Jackrabbit team has played in a decade or more.

It's all a learning process. The goal is to be playing our best when the tournament comes around. I'm still in the camp that thinks we will be doing just that.

Like I said in another post, a tough game to watch, as our guys could not hit a bull in the a@s with a scoop shovel. How many shots were missed maybe 13 as the game started.

I thought Coach Nagy summed it up best: "The ball just didn't go in the basket"

They Better come out FIGHTING tonight... They should be mad about that loss.. I am. We have to take care of the teams we should win. PROTECT FROST. I am almost scared to head up to Brookings tonight. Every game I go to they lose. I have never seen so many losses at Frost in one year (men and women combined).
