    Big game tonite!!!

SDSU has a good shot at the Griz in Brookings. Oakland is 2-1 in Brookings, but those 2 wins have been by a total of 4 points.

Hoopsdude's article about tonite's game, from a Grizzle perspective.

    http://grizzliesgameplan.blogspot.co...d-at-sdsu.html

If Local, get out and back the men tonite. Student section should be stuffed for the game.

Thanks for throwing up a link to my preview. Really looking forward to this game. And after reading that Prospectus article, I'm anxious to pay a bit more attention to White!

Wow, that's a pretty nice list to be on.

I've said before that White has a very unique skillset, a 6-6 guard who can handle, shoot, and defend. I believe that if he can stay healthy he will go down as an all time great at SDSU.

Will you be at the game in person or watching on the computer like me?

                  Re: Oakland GDT

I hope there is a great crowd there tonight. First, obviously, to support the Jacks against the best team in the conference. Second, to watch a player that may be a lottery pick in the NBA Draft. That doesn't happen very often.

The Jacks have played the Grizzlies tougher than anyone else over the last few years and Kampe has probably reminded them of that a few times. I expect a good game tonight.

This will be a good measuring stick of where we're at as a team.

                    Re: Oakland GDT

Does Oakland have many good 3-point shooters ? When the Jacks have played teams with strong inside players, they tend to collapse inside and leave the outside shots open.

Agree completely. The guy knows what he's writing about and expresses his thoughts, laced with fact, in a very readable and entertaining manner. Is Hoopsdude a professional writer (working for a news organization somewhere)?

I know I'll be there. Looking forward to it! It will be a tall task but If we can play some defense and hit our 3's anything can happen. Go Jacks.

I know they have a freshmen (Bader I believe) that is one of the top outside shooters in the conference, if not the country. And in years past they always seem to have a couple guys that can hit open shots when available.

Problem is, the Jacks have made average 3 point shooting teams look fantastic from that area, so I don't know if their past statistics will mean much if we still try to pack the lane to stop Benson and Hudson.

This is DI college basketball. Every team has good 3-point shooters when left open.

                              Not really.
Alabama State, dead last, at 25.8 percent, preceded by Niagara at 26.3, Alabama A&M at 26.6, Stetson 26.8, DePaul 27.2 and our Centenary Gents at 27.3 One, Niagara, has taken 25 more three-point shots than the Jacks. Combined, these teams are 27-81 on the year.

Jacks are third in the nation right now at 42.9 from behind three-point arc. Portland (43.5) and Northern Arizona (45) are better. Combined the three teams are 36-17.
