Crisp passing, good team defense, low turnovers and guys who can hit the open shot. Nice package!

Uff-da! I watched on the computer and that WIU broadcaster was awful. I think he was the Boom Goes The Dynamite guy.

But anyway....very solid game all the way around.

We scored 20 more than WIU (best defensive team in league) gives up.

Wolters is the 36th in D1 in ppg. Has to be top 15 in assists I imagine at 6.

When Griff (or anyone other than Nate and Sarg) is shooting the ball well it's a very good thing for us.

I thought Heemstra played hard and did some good things.

On to a very tough one at The Jungle.

I'm sure the guy doing the audio on the game was a student, and so one has to consider that. But it was kind of funny to hear him get on his excited, high pitched "rah-rah" voice when they shot the ball. All in all, he gave the Jacks a lot of credit though. Nice game Jacks...glad to see Griff light it up with his family present, but hated to see him miss that one FT. And while Nate was quiet a lot of the game, as usual he quietly racked up 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists! Nagy also complimented Marcus Heemstra for his defensive work without fouling. Would be great to see him keep improving.

Surprised not to see Marcus on the floor a little more. Give him some playing time with Jordan and maybe they can get to playing like they did in high school.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

I saw WIU has Emeka Okafor Jr. on their team......Emeka Okafor in the NBA turns 29 this year. I couldn't help but think, wow a 20 yr old junior in college as a son, now thats cranking it out early...LOL.

Yeah, before someone calls me out, I know its not his kid.

Coming into the game, Nate was 38th in scoring, 17th in assists and 12 in 3pt fg %......not too shabby.

Elsewhere, Centenary came withing four of UMKC at home. Might have been their best shot...

                      Re: WIU

                      An observation I've made:

When we have good perimeter ball movement, this team is very, very good offensively. Maybe unbeatable.

When our perimeter ball movement gets stagnant, it is sometimes due to good defense by our opponents, but not always. I will get crucified for saying it, but when Nate has to go off for 30 it effects our perimeter ball movement, and guys like Griff, White, Moss can get flat footed. Thinking back, we played right with Minnesota right up until they disrupted our perimeter ball movement near the end, at least as I remember it. NDSU disrupted our perimeter ball movement all game.

I think the announcer mentioned his normal partner would hopefully be back for Saturday's game - has to be tough for an inexperienced person to carry a game by himself when he is used to help.

First things first, what a win last night! That is a serious beat down!

I've kind of felt the same way. Funny how its a fine line that is created. You love the fact that he is able to take over and make things happen on his own which is huge near the end of the game. Sometimes though it seems like when others get the opportunity they are a little gun shy and pass rather than pull the trigger. You can see Nagy strongly urging others to shoot at times. It reminds me of when Megan Vogel played. It seemed where there were times others would rather dish to Megan than take the open shot. Everyone knew what was coming but she was so good they couldn't stop her. It isn't quite that bad here but I can see where you come up with that. The other guys are used to being ready for a pass out of nowhere which has led to some pretty spectacular highlights.

The one thing that is for sure is he makes this team as a whole infinitely better than when he isn't in there. His stats are unreal and he is biggest in the big moments. 38th in the nation in scoring average, 17th in assists, and 12th in 3 pt percentage all in one guy? Seriously strong stats. The best thing is he is always looking for the best option for the team to make a basket whether it is dishing the ball to a teammate for an open shot or taking it himself. He is an underrated defender as well. What a pleasure to have him in a Jacks uniform and we get it for two more years.

Also, the tournament in Sioux Falls is an "away" game so that may be to our advantage!

Go get one at the Jumgle!

When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back.

Not his kid but is related (3rd cousin). I looked it up last night during the game as I thought it was too much of a coincidence for them to have the same unique first and last name.

Here's his bio - read the bottom paragraph.
