First off, nice wins against Eastern Illinois and Iowa. I watched the Iowa game and Wolters was unbelievable. The talent level in the Summit is definitely rising.

Small correction to Nagy's letter: Oakland has beaten a couple of Big Ten schools more recently than 1995. We beat Northwestern by nearly 20 in 2000, and then beat Michigan 97-90 the following season.

But the basic point still stands. Any Summit win over the Big Ten is a nice win.

were they counted games? because the announcers of the Iowa game stated the same thing that the nagy letter did, maybe they were exhibition games.... just wondering

They were both regular non-exhibition games, just like SDSU's win against Iowa.

The 60-41 win over Northwestern was on January 2, 2000:

Again, not the biggest deal in the world. And congrats again to the Jacks on a great win over the Hawkeyes. Let's hope Oakland can get another Big Ten win for the Summit tomorrow against Purdue (tall order, to say the least).

Guarantee is a tough word to spell. I heard on the radio this morning that supersede is the most commonly misspelled word but guarantee has to be close.

I would think that the coach feels very secure in his job and that he is still planning to be around for as long as he wants this job. With Chilly now thats a whole different issue.
