Nice to read this morning that Kyle Cooper of Sioux Falls has committed to join the Jackrabbit golf team! Kyle's a great addition (it probably did help that he grew up in Brookings...but he noted in his remarks that the rise in the Jackrabbit program was a big factor).

Kyle Cooper is a nice young man and a very talented golfer. He has played in a lot of national events in his junior career which gives him a lot of valuable experience coming into college. That will be a real plus.

This is just another example of a South Dakota kid staying in state to attend school because now there is an opportunity to compete at the highest levels. The team ends up being a pretty tight group since the majority of the them played against each other in high school and they have formed friendships before coming to SDSU. It's a great environment.

Congrats to Coach Baszler on a great commitment to the Jacks program!
